TXT update failed

I managed to start the update 4.6.6->4.7.0 on a nearly empty battery. So the power went of in the middle of the update
The TXT is now able to booth and seems to be working OK except for wifi. But I would still like to force a new installation of the firmware. I have already tried going back to RoboPro 4.6 on the PC, but that just tells me to go back to 4.7 without an option to down-grade the TXT itself.
Is there any way to force a new firmware installation?

Since I can actually boot with the broken 4.7 installation, can I do that without needing a serial connection?
I don't have a linux PC either, so is there an alternative to make the SD card from Windows instead?

and there the:
1_repair_FwUpdTxt.bat

But at first, i would contact the fischertechnik service by mail.

When I try to get a the root pwd with 0_new_root.bat I get an error:

Wait until the root password is displayed on TXT ...
Write down the passwort ...

I got a bit further now, but again stuck. Procedure so far:

Code: Alles auswählen

* connect USB
* (hear the windows USB connection sound)
* use Putty
    - connection type SSH 
    - IP 192.168.7.2
    - login: ROBOPro
    - pwd: ROBOPro
* sudo /usr/sbin/new_root_password.sh 60
* wait ~30 seconds, then write down root password
* the '-' are not part of the password
* make new Putty connection, this time log in as root with the new password
* ...

in 1_repair_FwUpdTxt.bat they start /sbin/FwUpdTxt
However, that file doesn't exist on mine...

I'm not sure what to do now.

Ich hatte mal ein Update Problem. Direkt kontaktiert und mein Problem war recht schnell gelöst.

ft hat eigentlich einen sehr guten und vor allem sehr kulanten Support.

Nur so als Hinweis, wegen der Antwort in dem anderen Thema:

Ein "TXT" und der "TXT 4.0" sind zwei verschiedene Interfaces.
Ein Reparaturversuch des Betriebssystems, wie beschrieben, kann nicht auf beiden Geräten gleich funktionieren.
Zumindest der Versuch ein "anderes" Betriebssystem aufzuspielen, dürfte so nicht funktionieren.

Soweit ich mich erinnere hat der TXT ein Backup vom Betriebssystem. Inwieweit man das wieder zurückspielen kann, keine Ahnung, da ich es selbst noch nie gebraucht habe.

I got in touch with fischertechnik.
There seems to be no way to revert the update through software alone. The two solutions offered are:
* https://github.com/fischertechnik/FT-TX ... om-sd-card
but I don't have a USB-serial converter (yet) and, maybe more difficult no linux system to create the sd card image.

* send the TXT to fischertehnik for repair.

I will go for the 2nd option.
In my experience ft service has always been great, and that goes back a long while. I have a letter my dad wrote in 70-ties about some part they replaced back then also.
