fotoopa hat geschrieben:I wonder if the small difference in diameter 2.6 versus 2.5 will not increase the pressure too much to use multiple pins in the connector. If you only have to press 1 pin at the same time, this usually goes pretty well. So I doubt a bit but would rather spend a bit more to use the original FT pins. If I still have to make a separate order I will definitely use these FT pins.
Frans,
the nominal diameter of the ft pins is also 2.6mm and the connectors indicated by sven and me have been used for ft since ever. They were originally used for model railroads first. ft did not make their own pins, they just made the rectangular housing instead of the cylindrical.
For optical reasons, I also never used the cylindrical connectors, but I own many of them which I got with used ft parts...

Kind regards

I just measured the TXT Controller and it really has 2.5mm, 2.6 can't fit in. I always do the measurements with a small drill. I have drills from 0.5 to 10mm per 0.1mm. The drill with diameter 2.6 doesn't fit in the TXT at all, 2.5 does. The original FT pins ( FI-31336 and FI-31337) measure 2.55-2.58mm. Soon I have to make an order at Conrad, then I will order the 2.6mm plugs to test them. I will not doubt that 2.6mm will work but FT does have 2.5mm.

Frans, that's probably the best thing you could do, thanks.
I never used the conrad parts on the TXT. So i'm really looking forward to learn from your investigations.
Thanks and kind regards

Yes, I have not yet planned the lateral connections. I first wanted to see if the plug can work at all. I have only the Fischertechnik 3D printer available, I doubt that this can print the small holes problem-free. So thank you for your experiences

Tomorrow I get the alternative plug. The plugs should fit easily. Due to the spring effect can be reduced in diameter.

I already have some ideas for a lifting device.

To reduce the force when plugging in and loosening it could also help to increase the diameter again by 0.1 - 0.2mm to compensate for any deviations.

The dwarf plugs have arrived. The radius at the top could make them easier to guide. I also have a comparison between the dwarf plugs and the FT plugs. The threads should be M2. The slope I would have to measure in the business, if interesting.

I made the holes 0.4 - 0.5mm larger.

A variant complete, with aushebenut
A variant halved.

Everything in the Onedrive drive.

Greeting René

I had 0.2mm clearance, your value from 0.4 to 0.5 will be even better.
I didn't understand the term "aushebenut" at first, now I see what you mean by looking at the .stl files. That's a good idea!
"Conrad" has just prepared my order for shipment, I expect that Tuesday.
Meanwhile also an order made in the FT shop for 50 x Worm, M 1.5, Red model 37926. I can't print them very well myself. Also a Dynamic XM kit ordered. The grandchildren (1, 3 and 5 year old) come next week for 7 days on holiday, then we can build something new together!

Today my 2.6mm pins arrived. I used the .stl file for 3D printing and mounted the pins. That goes pretty well, only a little deeper (0.25mm) would be better to mount the small M2x0.4mm screw. The dimensions correspond to the drawing, only the M2 screw is slightly lower in the housing. But this can depend on the 3D printer. Where necessary I have to use a drill 3.7mm to adjust it slightly manual.

You can use the 2.6mm pins in addition to the FT 2.5mm pins. The pressing force is slightly higher, you can feel that clearly when all 19 pins are mounted. That pressure strenght is certainly 2x higher. Fortunately you can use a screwdriver under the plug to lift it all out. When downloading the .stl files I didn't see a right side version. I suppose you did make that too, otherwise I have to make the drawing myself. So yes it works in any case. The M2x0.4mm are standard sizes, so correct on the drawing.

Guten Morgen,

Good Morning,

On the Onedrive directory you will find 4 different stl files.

Plug completely left and right
Plug halved left and right

I've set the hole for the dwarf plug down by 0.3 and broken the edges with a radius.
In the split I have a ball attached for guidance.

If this works, I also adapt the changes to the FT sockets.

Greeting René

I reloaded the files and printed the right version. Everything works perfectly now, 2.6mm pins fit nicely in the connector.
I see the small roundings, normally I don't make them on the bottom of the print table. Because of the small rounding on that bottom you have more chance of bending with an unheated print bed. To avoid this I have to use a brim. The printed connector was perfect in any case. Thanks for the adjustments and extensions of the versions.

https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21A ... 47&o=OneUp

https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21A ... 47&o=OneUp

@Franz
Which side is ideally on the print bed when printing? Then I remove here the edge rounding.

I always place the smallest diameter at the bottom. This way the surface on the print table is the largest and no post-processing is required.

Hallo!

Hallo!

Da kommt dein Problem her.
