axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Hi
Why do the axles 31031 110mm no longer have the chroming caoting.
In my 2 new boxes the are just blank iron and very sharp on the edges.
They are magnetic so the are not made of RVS, and they rust.
Why!!!!!!!!!!

RVS = "Roestvast staal"? Rostfreier Stahl (Patent Krupp 1912)?

Metal axles 110 and all the others generally are magnetic. Which boxes contained the non-magnetic kind and which boxes are your 2 new ones?Sweany hat geschrieben:They are magnetic

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Yes i know RVS is Roest Vrij Staal ik heb er mee gewerkt.
But in the new boxes i bought the axles do not have the chroom coating anymore so the are oxidising and are rusting.
That was my question to fischerwerke why????
There are 3 boxes with these axles in i did buy, i have 6 blanc axles and 3 chroomed axles.

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
It is great that you know that, but alas we did not, as it is an abbreviation of a Dutch expression for a German invention. That is why I tried to verify what you were talking about. Still, it is cool that you do know what you mean.Sweany hat geschrieben:Yes i know RVS is Roest Vrij Staal ik heb er mee gewerkt.
It would help though if you made an effort to write in slightly better English.

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Since I just do not own OECO Energy nor Optics I can not comment the contents there. But in my 520398 (Power Machines) box all the metall axles have the chromium (or whatever) coating that I used to know from fischertechnik metal axles. Maybe you got some production outliers?Sweany hat geschrieben:There are 3 boxes with these axles in i did buy, i have 6 blanc axles and 3 chroomed axles.

By the way: there are stainless steel (rostfreier Stahl / Edelstahl) kinds around that are magnetic, too. I think the ft steel balls for the dynamic boxes are made of such material.

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Dear all,
the axles were nickel-coated, but there is a new European norm that has new limits for the evaporation of nickel and therefore, we had to change the material of the axles to stainless steel (stainless steel can be magnetic, since not all types of stainless steels are austenite).
Best regards
Markus
Hallo zusammen,
Markus

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Hallo Markus,

Thomas

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Hallo Thomas,
Markus

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming

Re: axles 31031 110mm without chroming
Hallo Killian,
