Training Robot 30572

Beitrag von Marspau » 05 Dez 2015, 20:29

Hello FT fans,
I discovered in a 1985 Catalog on the FT club of Netherland , a difference in the optical pulses readers for robot 30572.
I had always saw so far the part #32357 and # 32367 ( the ones with black bars ).
But on the cover page of that catalog ,you can see a different kind of optical reader and a disk like light barrier.

http://docs.fischertechnikclub.nl/catal ... age152.jpg.

I would like to know if some you ever saw that robot.

N.B. I tried to include a picture of the first page of the pdf catalog , but I never found a way to do it.

Hallo FT-Fans,

Hello,

I suppose this was just done for the picture to make the catalog as the real devices were not ready yet ;)
It just looks like the later sensor form but as the red disc has not any bars or holes to count this can't be a working device...

This is common and there are other examples with different colors and things like this.

If anyone else has more details please respond :!:

Regards,
Thomas

Hello,

as far as my few documents show, the final robot had rotary encoders made of drums, not the discs shown. Also there are just the blue parts (especially blue building plate and blue(!) BS5 = 35676) that resemble a sensor system but there is none. Have a look also at the top joint. There are some strange parts that never found their way into the final model. I have just a poor black and white copy of a photo taken from a later book (Robotik mit dem Heimcomputer, J.P.M. Steeman, Elektor Verlag, 1987) showing a different construction on the upper joint.

I would like to agree to schnaggels: the picture shows an early prototype snapshot not the final product.
