Hi all,

Looking for some assistance in setting up the FischerTechnik Simulation 4.0 Factory with Siemens S7-1500 PLC. Not sure if my manual im following is outdated but found it online as the QR sent with our kit was for the factory controlled with TXT Controllers.

Attempting to set up WISP Connection of the TPLink. However, the manual states that the password on http://tplinkwifi.net must have username admin and password admin. But when you set this up TPLink now request that the password is 6 characters long and theres no option for username. Not sure if password is something different now. It says if its not set to this the password must be changed on the TXT Controller. I have been struggling to find how to do this. Picture attached:


Any guidance is much appreciated. I have contacted FischerTechnik for assistance directly but not had a reply yet and on a slight deadline.

Ich gebe zu, ich mag tp nicht. Ich hab mal versucht einen anderen Router einzurichten. Dazu hab ich eine Seite mit den Einstellugen offen gehabt und eine zweite wo ich versucht habe ins Internet zu kommen. Irgendwo in den 540 Seiten Handbuch (nicht in der Kurzanleitung), so auf Seite 378 oder so stand dann das man das nicht gleichzeitig offen haben kann. Es funktionierte so nicht. Das hat mich ca. 2 Wochen gekostet. Ich hab mir zwischenzeitlich einen anderen geholt und den nur noch als Lanverteiler genutzt. Seitdem mach ich einen Bogen um tp.

The user admin with password admin was available on all my TP-Link nanos as default account.
My nano routers are more than 2 years old.
I suppose TP-Link changed the firmware and you must create a strong password on first logon now.

The webpage you posted was not available on my (2-3 years old) routers.
I know from other router manufacturers (e.g. Siemens Scalance) that they disabled default users with default passwords and forced to specify a user created password on first logon.
This is a security feature.

So of course the ft-documentation to your "Lernfabrik" is outdated with the firmware present on your nano router...

The recent Tplink nano Wifi routers are using the nummer at the right under de MAC-address on the back as initial password.
