Re: RoboPro coding versie 6.1.2
Microsoft Store knows the answer...
https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail ... s-us&gl=us
There is also a new release for the TXT4 OS image (ver3.1.4).
When my informations are correct, ft added some new node-red nodes for accessing the TXT4 API.

Results of two updates
TXT4.0_1
1-Update take more than 14 minutes, after power up, update failure.
2- connection failure,
3- update took 17 min. and was successful.
Progress indication in % was more then 10 minutes 99%
TXT4.0_2
1- Update took 17 min. and was successful.
No progress indication in % on the screen
Documentation is 9 months old.
The coming days I will test the problems that I notice with version firmware 3.1.0 a year ago.

Re: RoboPro coding versie 6.1.2/firmware 3.1.4
No improvement of the integration of end user Python code parts (for example end user defined classes) into the Blockley code pages.
Extension of the functionality like that this was possible with SLI in RoboPro is still not available.

…sounds like you don‘t like this fischertechnik stuff anymore, do you?

I work with the fischertechnik factory in education and there we are using RoboPro with SLI extension elements.
I've tried to convert some pieces to RoboPro coding and run into quite a few limitations.
RoboPro is much more powerful than the Blockley building blocks.
They only provide a limited subset of Python.
The use of Python itself in a Blockley element is limited and quickly becomes confusing. It does not allow access to the potentials of the TXT microcontroller.
A step back from a 4G to 3G language.
Only after a year the possibility for MQTT broker in the local network. Unfortunately, the MQTT broker cannot be configured on the TXT4.0, but this is possible on the TXT. There is now a web socket but no Blockley elements for using the web socket directly for external communication.
No toolchain for C++ development documented.
Furthermore, I myself use MS Visual Studio code for remote development and debugging, but that is too unstable for students to use.
Integrating external Python classes in Blockley is possible via tricks, but it also quickly becomes confusing.
Fischertechnik itself does not yet have a TXT4.0 Blockley alternative for the factory and factory4.0.
All industrial robot models have also disappeared from the product model range.
I expected that the TXT4.0 would give me more options than the TXT, but that is not the case yet.
{2022-12-05] In the examples|trainings models is a first version for the HDWarehouse and a new selector model.
The last one is with camara instead of color sensor. A lot of Python code without comment.

Re: RoboPro coding versie 6.1.2/firmware 3.1.4
Hallo zusammen,
Klaus
