Hi,
Well, if you keep discussing algorithms in-depth, we'll probably create a new sub-forum for that. But as I see it, algorithm design would be more suitable for a wiki, as most complex topics can be learned better from a short text than from a lengthy discussion. So personally, I am recording this as the next call for a wiki

Hi all,
A good suggestion from Rei_vilo.
Math for integration of new sensors into the fischertechnik system.
There exist more interesting math in relation with fischertechnik, for example:
Matrix math around the movements of a robot arm.
(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translation_matrix, and other links about this subject)
How to use this with a FT-robot.
MS-RDS makes it possible to use this kind of math in relation with the ft-models.
I also agree with the suggestion of Heiko that the present forum is not so suitable for this kind of information development.
In fact it is building a knowledge base around the subject fischertechnik.
The absolute navigation mechanism (tree, hierarchic) of the ft-forum is not so suitable.
It ask for a relative navigation mechanism like:

Hello,
I have a civil-engineering background but not realy an expert in filter-algoritms and making computerprogramms.
I would realy appreciate an compact explanation of the filter-algoritm, also converted to an Robo-Programm.
I think this would be very usefull for many other Modells with accelerometers.Grüss,

Hello,
A good suggestion from Rei_Vilo
I am a great supporter for a new algorithm section. I have no opinion if it has to be through a new sub forum section or through wiki.
As an example:
The PID algorithm (given in de Robopro program Windmill (see section "Playing with accelerometers")) has supported me making a line following program for my TX Robot.
kind regards

Hello FT-Friends,
A PID-algoritm should also very usefull for waterleveling in my garden "Wasserwehren" to be seen in:
http://www.ftcommunity.de/categories.php?cat_id=1941
- Where exactly is the PID algorithm-section in the Robopro program "Windmill" in the section "Playing with accelerometers" ?
