FPGA is parallel procesing, using a DSP you always hit a limit. And the 5th hit on google for "Transputer and multi vector systems" is your post, the other first 4 are not state of the art. Even ieee doesn't seem to have something new. Can you name a product?

Edit: With limit of DSP I mean: They usually can't do everything the want you to do. When you install a DSP for tracking it won't allow you following a path etc.
