Hi,

A STEM company called Edventures sells some custom kits that include fischertechnik components, and they include an interesting pair of ball casters:


The BOM states it includes "high quality swivels with steel balls" under the "fischertechnik" header. I'm not aware of these parts, are these actual fischertechnik parts?

Hi Rubem,

the "RiQ" has been offered by edventures since 2014 (at least) - see Was fischertechnik von den Amerikanern lernen kann - and seems to be a success. The two ball casters are special parts added by edventures.

Und ist das wirklich ft? Oder "nur" ft-Kompatibel? Diese Hartgummireifen glänzen so ganz anders als die (unzähligen) in meinem Fundus.

Sehr interessant ... speziell wenn man davon ausgeht, dass ft davon weiss und es so gar nicht gewinnbringend ausschlachten.

Are they still as successful?

And is that genuine ft? Or just something compatible? These hard tires a way more glossy than my own (countless) ones.

Very interesting ... especially when considering ft knows about this and doesn't promote it to their advantage.
