Hi Huub,
very good fil and photos. And the first time that I was visible on a photo and partly in a video.
Of ourse it was just a demonstrator so not really worth to be filmed.
But the quality of the video is perfect. You filmed so many details. Great!

Wonderful video. Thank you so much for compiling this.
It looks like a great exhibition!
There are so many interesting things presented...such creativity.
Question:
1. At 17:42 there's a large circular grey ring, the sort of thing one would ordinarily build out of 30° or 60° Bogenstücke (curved beams).
From the size of the ring, though, it's apparent that the creator didn't use 30° Bogenstücke (36306) but perhaps 15° (!!!) Bogenstücke.
It does appears like there are roughly 24 of them on each circle, so 15 degree would make sense.
Is this a rare part or something that has been created via 3D printing? If 3D printed, the grey looks a very good match.
Being in the USA, I never get to attend these conventions and am always so impressed by what I see in the great videos. Sometimes, however, it isn't apparent what the intent of a device is even after pausing the video and studying a bit.
If it's ever possible to show the placard with each model's name (or subtitle it in afterward), that would be really helpful. Showing the placard is nice because it usually shows the name of the modeler as well, which could be helpful to someone in the future seeking advice.
No complaints, though—this is wonderful.

Brilliant observation! This is our "Riesenringförderer" (Giant ring conveyor) made of 3D-printed Bogenstück 15° with inserted Neodymium magnets. Usually the marble track ball will be lifted at the side of the ring, just held by the magnet (Unfortunately I noticed that the ball was stuck in the ft designed part of the model, so you don't see the effect in the video).
The design of the Bogenstück was made by Jan (nickname juh), and the data can be found at thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3243215
The filament is a very cheap one, also a recommendation from Jan, see here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5137
Hope this helps!
Kind regards
Peter

It's probably by Peter who printed a couple of my 15° (or even 7,5°?) bow-shaped beams:Burkhard hat geschrieben:1. At 17:42 there's a large circular grey ring, the sort of thing one would ordinarily build out of 30° or 60° Bogenstücke (curved beams).

They must be mentioned in the Tipps&Tricks subforum somewhere, also. And, yes, grey is quite an easy match, other colors like red are much harder to match adequately.
Best

Edit: Peter was faster, that happens if kids need to be put to bed while you write your post...

Wonderful! Except for knowing ft never made them, I wouldn't have known! I must think about getting a 3D printer... so many fun things. If only I could have it print me more time.juh hat geschrieben: It's probably by Peter who printed a couple of my 15° (or even 7,5°?) bow-shaped beams:

For grey, I think there must often be a need to mix in some some yellow to get it looking "perfectly vergilbt"
For red, I think even ft has trouble matching that. Fortunately, you have so many reds to choose from !

Very nice, Peter! I'm really astounded (and more than a bit humbled) by all the talent I see in this and the other videos (in other threads) of Südconvention 2019.PHabermehl hat geschrieben: Brilliant observation! Keep creating and sharing your work!

Then you need to wait until the Ft-community site is again active.
