Foren-Regeln

Beitrag von ftc-Vorstand » 12 Mai 2020, 15:20

Kurze Fassung:

Forum rules (English translation)

Beitrag von EstherM » 14 Mai 2020, 15:44

Short version:

Do not insult anyone and stick to the grammar/ spelling of the language you are writing in. Avoid short answers without meaning or answers that are not helpful in this topic (off-topic).

Long detailed version:

  • Be friendly:
    • Introduce yourself briefly in your first post.
    • Say hello when you open a new topic or come again into the topic.
    • Do not insult anyone, neither directly nor indirectly.
    • Say thank you when you have been helped or a request has been fulfilled.
  • Be tolerant:
    • Always remember that your counterpart can be very different from you (age, education, culture etc.).
    • Do not automatically assume that the person you are talking to is of bad will; it could also be a misunderstanding.
  • Be constructive:
    • Don't just say "What's bad?" but also "How can you realistically make it better?"
    • Appreciate the work of others, even if you criticize it, especially if it is voluntary work. An occasional "thank you" has never hurt.
  • Make yourself understood:
    • Stick to the grammar and spelling of the language you write in (usually English, Dutch, French or German).
    • If possible, answer in the language of the post you are referring to and, if possible, include a translation if it is not German. The mother tongue of more than 90% of the forum participants is German and we therefore ask the authors of non-German contributions to add a German translation to their text out of courtesy. Everyone is of course allowed to ask for help with this. At the moment, the online service of deepl.com is especially recommended, which usually provides very well understandable translations that can be easily copied and pasted into the forum post.
    • Say directly what you mean and avoid insinuations and excessive sarcasm.
  • Stay on topic:
    • Keep the subject and the initial post of the topic in mind and keep digressions short.
    • Otherwise, open a new topic or ask for the topic to be split up (report the post with the "!" symbol and give a reason).
  • Keep the forum clear:
    • Only open new threads if a similar one doesn't already exist. If in doubt, use the search function or ask the moderation team.
    • Opens new topics in the appropriate subforum with a meaningful subject (= title).
    • Avoids meaningless titles such as "search help" or "beginner's question".
  • Keep your posts clear:
    • When quoting posts ("-symbol) shortens longer quotes to the relevant.
    • Changes after submission such as corrections or additions using the "Edit" function are allowed, but should be marked accordingly (e.g. "Edit: ...").
    • The deletion of the content of entire posts from a discussion is undesirable.
    • Include images, which serve to explain your contribution, directly into your post. This can be done using the "File attachments" function. For the presentation of a model or a special part of a model, the image collection on our website is the first choice.
    • Think about a signature that applies to you. As soon as you change it, it will be displayed in every posting (even older ones) in the changed form.
  • Improve the quality of the forum:
    • Avoid short posts with no added value.
    • Don't repeat what has been said several times or is common knowledge.
    • Do not discuss personal issues in the forum.
  • Observe copyright and rights of use:
    • Building instructions and software from fischertechnik may only be distributed with their permission. This is currently only available for instructions for construction kits which are no longer available for sale.
    • Only upload pictures and files as attachments to which you have the appropriate rights.
    • Pictures and files from the forum may only be reused with the permission of the copyright holders.
  • Prohibited contents
    • Specifically forbidden are expressions glorifying violence, discriminating, inhuman, pornographic and punishable statements.
    • The same applies to links to pages with such contents.
  • Stick to the rules
    • If available, observe the special rules of individual forums, which are "pinned" there as a starting theme (e.g. in the marketplace).
    • Report violations of the forum rules (report post with "!" symbol and give reason) so that the moderation team can take care of it.
    • Significant violations of these rules can lead to the temporary or permanent suspension of your account, especially if they occur again.
The ft:c forum is and remains a forum for all fischertechnik users and fans. So no matter whether you are an eight-year-old newcomer or an old hand from the very beginning: We all have a hobby in common and we should not fight, insult each other or finish each other off in any other way. Thanks! Please also note the terms of use for phpBB forums: ucp.php?mode=terms . If you have any questions, please contact the moderation team.
