Hallo ft,

I have intermittent serious problems with my TXT controller: sudden power-off and loss of loaded software from RAM. Forum member elektrolutz advises me to contact ft-service, but I bought my Discovery set in the Netherlands in april this year. How should this be handled ?

for me it seems that you might have a problem with your power supply. Do you use a accu.. and is this working promperly?!?

The power-off situation happened with the fully loaded battery-pack connected, not with the power supply.

i´m not from FT but I had a similar Problem with my TXT.
I used an older accu package and the TXT suddenly shut down. The accu was fully loaded, but it seems the TXT is a little bit sensitive with the tension.
When i use a new battery pack, the problem does not occur.

Try a power supply or another battery pack.

Thank for the advise...I do have 2 older and 2 newer battery packs. However, this doesn't change the other problem I have: programs disappearing from RAM.
So I still want to hear from ft about a solution.

I have to inquire once more. Which kind of "battery pack" do you use? In english battery pack normaly means a rechargeable "battery".
Is it a rechargeable accu, a 9V battery block, a old fischertechnik battery box with AA batteries.... What kind of batteries do you use?
Is it the accu from the fischertechnik Accu Set?

All 4 batterypacks (accu's) I use with my 2 mobile robots (1 with RoboInterface and 1 with TXT) are the NiMH accu's from the fischertechnik Accu Set. In the past I used to charge them with the old NiCad charger, but since I found out this one doesn't completely charge NiMH accu's I bought the new charger. I never use other accu's and use all 4 for both robots. I don't know which 2 were bought last with the TXT (I didn't put a marker on them).
