Hallo Freunde aus den Niederlanden,

für die Convention in E.B. benötige ich ein freundliches Hinweisschild und möchte das auch in niederländischer Sprache beschriften. Könnt ihr mir bei der Übersetzung helfen?

Dummerweise kann ich kein Niederländisch. Ich habe es mal mit uitmuntend.de versucht, aber bin mir nicht wirklich sicher ob das Ergebnis paßt. Bei der "Bahn" handelt es sich um die Laufschienen meiner Glasmurmelbahn, falls das eine Rolle spielt.

Bitte nicht in die Bahn greifen! <= ?? => Gelieve niet in het spoor grijpen!

I just tried to translate it via uitmuntend.de but I suspect that the result is not very fine. "Bahn" means the guiding tracks of my glass marble ball modell, if this is of concern.

Like the Germans, the Dutch are often using the more polite form with a.u.b. (abbreviation for: "alstublieft" = "biete")

Is it necessary to typeset "NIET" as you and rob indicate it or is it also okay to typeset it "niet"?

This typeset makes it a little more aggressive. It will create also more distance between the visitors and you.
My personal experience at the FT-convention is that the visitors are very respectful towards the models.
My model may be used by the visitors and I am very often busy to activate the visitors to use the joystick and play with the FT-quad robot arm.
So dropping a polite hint is more than enough.

Maybe in a different situation with a different type of visitors
