ROBO LT Controller

Hallo Forum!

Ich bin sicher, meine Frage wurde im alten Forum schon mal besprochen. Nur leider ist das ja weg ...

Angenommen, ich starte mit dem Kasten 508777 ROBO LT Beginner Lab in die Welt des FT-Computing. Und angenommen, die Sache gefällt mir und macht mir Spaß, und ich kaufe mir später den ROBO TX Controller dazu.

Kann ich dann mit dem ROBO LT Controller aus meinem ersten Baukasten in Verbindung mit dem TX noch irgendetwas anfangen, oder ist der ROBO LT Controller dann überflüssig?

Ich würde mal sagen jein!

Den LT Controller kann man ja nicht als Extension für den TX nutzen.
Aber es sollte möglich sein, im Onlinebetrieb am PC beide Interfaces gemeinsam zu nutzen.

Hallo,

das hat dann so seine deutlichen Tücken :
- zum Betrieb des Robo LT mit Robo Pro wird v3.x benötigt ( noch nicht verfügbar)
- Robo LT firmiert dann unter Robo Interface
- ein Betrieb eines EM1 als Robo TX geht nicht
- umgekehrt Robo TX als IF1 geht auch nicht da nur Robo TX Extensions akzeptiert werden.

The Robo LT-C belongs to the Robo Int family.
It need at least FtLib 1.75

Maybe it would be adivisible that fischertechnik will come with a interim release of the RoboPro 2 serie that operates with a more recent version of the FtLib.

that's not the whole thruth : it needs Version 1.77 and that is not conform to the actual RoboPro v2.1.4.2

Robo LT is a special v3.x Version of the coming Robo Pro v3.x

Dear mr. Muller,

I wrote at least 1.75; you are mixing up two thinks:
1.75: Adds support for ROBO LT Controller
and
1.77: Adds general support for x32 and x64 Windows Systems (new USB drivers)

As beta tester I know what RoboPro version 3 means.

In case the API and the TA stay upwards compatible, there is no real reason that the RoboPro version 2 could not work with newer FtLib's. Only the new functionality is in that case not available.
The problem is that the FtLib has been integrated in RoboPro v2.1.4.2. Therefore it is not possible to change FtLib version.

RoboInt, RoboConnection box, Robo extension module (stand alone mode) and Robo LT-C are making use of the same FTLib. Luckily the FtLibs are most of the time upwards compatible.

The official RoboPro Documentation says : Robo Pro v3.0 is needed, thats not available at the moment.
Running the TX Controller and the Robo LT with two separate USB cables is only possible with Robo Pro v.3.0, but is problematic because of the switching of the development environment, if editing the "other" Controller.

I think more discussion does not belong to the original Question.
